It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jack. Jack passed away peacefully in his home on November 16th, 2018 after a long and courageous battle with MS. Jack was born in Milden Saskatchewan and raised in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. He joined the RCMP on January 11, 1971 and was posted in Burnaby, BC on June 20th, 1971. Here he met and married his wife Judy and moved to Langley where they raised their two children. He retired from the RCMP on June, 21st, 2006 when diagnosed with MS. Jack loved life. He spent many hours gardening, woodworking and designing stain glass projects until the MS made it impossible. Jack was predeceased by his wife Judy on January 5th, 2000. He is survived by his two children Kyle and Kirsten, 3 brothers Dave (Elaine), Bruce (Barb), Bob (Deb) and 1 sister Joanne (Michael) and many nieces, nephews. Jack will be greatly missed by his family and good friends. Family, friends and others whose lives Jack touched are invited to a graveside service at Forest Lawn Cemetery 3789 Royal Oak Avenue, Burnaby on Saturday December 8th, 2018 at 1pm. There will be an open house gathering to share many memories of Jack at the family home between 3-5pm following the service. In lieu of flowers donations would be gratefully accepted at the MS Society of Canada https://mssociety.ca/ in memory of Jack.
