Message from your Past President, RCMP Veterans’ Association, Vancouver Division

As 2019 winds down, I felt that it was important to reach out to the Vancouver Division Membership, not only to welcome a new member to your executive but, to encourage other members to step forward to assist the Division.

As many of you are aware, part of my role as Past President of our Division, is to serve as the Chairperson of the Nominating Committee for the Division Executive.  Firstly, I would like to acknowledge and welcome Ray Power, who volunteered to serve in the role of Director, Membership, to the Division Executive.  As Ron and I have been away on an extended vacation, we missed the swearing in of Ray as a new Director at the General Meeting held on November 21st.  I wanted to extend my sincere welcome to Ray and look forward to working with him in 2020.

While Ray is now in the position of Director, Membership there continues to be two other executive positions vacant – Director Communications and Director Ceremonies/Memorabilia (terms 2020/21).  It is also anticipated that other executive positions, which expire at the end of 2020, could become vacant. I would encourage all of Vancouver Division Membership to look at how you could help support and continue to grow our Division.  Vancouver Division needs you – our members.  Further information will be forthcoming in early 2020 as to any further anticipated vacant positions.

Lastly, I would like to wish you and your families a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.  Best of the season to you and yours!
