National Remembrance Day Ceremony in Ottawa
National Remembrance Day Ceremony in Ottawa
Dear Members of the Association,
Ottawa Division has drawn our attention to the work that the Royal Canadian Legion (RCL) is doing across Canada to remember those who have died in combat for Canada.
November 11th., is fast approaching and the RCL’s substantial effort to continue our national practice of recognizing those individuals who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country, Canada is ready.
The Legion’s website has been configured to provide a very detailed summary of ways that Canadians can use to honour and remember those who passed while fighting for this country. The website is available by clicking here. From there, a large number of options are offered including a video which is a Virtual Wall of Honour and Remembrance that displays images over a period of some two hours of military (and the RCMP Provost) members who were killed in action.
The Legion’s actual Remembrance Day Ceremony will be covered live on CBC, CTV and Global or it may be watched at the RCL’s Facebook page .
