For this week’s Photo Corner Theme, Ric Hall has selected “Depot’s Laying Out Kit On Barrack Room Bed.”
Since the establishment of the Mounted Police Barrack at “Depot” Division in Regina, it has been a tradition to have the recruit’s kit laid out for the weekly inspection. The following images were provided by Ric.

In the early stages of basic RCMP training, new cadets are continually reminded of the proper protocol for the laying out of their issued kit. An example of the protocol can be viewed here.
Despite these instructions, it takes time for all Troop members to comply with these standards. When contraventions of these standards are discovered on the weekly Friday Inspection, the consequences are illustrated below.

If you have Force photographs which Ric could include in a forthcoming Photo Corner webpage, please email him at rshall69@shaw.ca. Ric will scan the photograph(s) and return the originals to you.
